This post has 3 years in the making....
People...
The Positive Perception debut album is done. Today, Aug 6, 2010, I woke up to a phone call from the duplication factory telling me the album is ready to be picked up.... Now thats how I like to wake up!
This album took 3 years to make... It took me from Miami to Palmdale, CA --- Make Johnny Matrik move from Miami to Palmdale to Kabul, Afghanistan to create..... But here it is....

Happy New Years! 2010 !!!!!!!!
This is the start of a new decade. I believe that a new decade should have a new soundtrack. Not that old music from last decade...

The Back story:
I began a Youtube channel called MsLilsinger5's Youtube Channel. After seeing all the Youtube channels of singers recording themselves sing... i decided I would too but UNDER SOME CONDITIONS: 1. Under alias 2. All the songs are one take 3. All the songs are one try. 4. And if not, post it.
Well, it went well, but then one day I got this crazy idea to put all my favorite old school hip hop songs like "Lodi Dodi" and "Regulator's" and of course "Gangsta's Paradise" into song... i coined the phrase Rap Jazz (My sister suggested Gangsta Jazz LOL) Anways, I did it for fun and showed only my closest people. They urged me to put it out! So, i put it under alias as well.... Now, everyone that hasn't heard it will!!!!!!!!!

Biografia en Espanol!
Muy pocas veces, en esta industria, dos de las personalidades musicales mas fuertes dan luz a un poderoso duo.
Una introduccion a Positive Perception.
Natalie Fernandez nacio en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Con un linaje artistico de varias generaciones, Natalie Fernandez crecio en los escenarios, formalizando su profesion como cantante a la corta edad de 15 años.
Rodeada por una familia de aclamados artistas, rapidamente se acoplo como parte de la elite escenica. Assistio a la legendaria Berklee College of Music, fue elejida para compartir el escenario con gigantes musicales de la talla de Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, Ruben Blades, Juan Luis Guerra y muchos mas. Durante su tiempo en la prestigiada academia, grabo 2 albums, uno de ellos "Latin Tango Jazz" el primero en su genero. Despues de graduarse, formo parte de la agrupacion Fusik, un grupo funk originario de Miami. Fue ahi, cuando conocio por primera vez, a el que se convertiria en la otra mitad de Positive Perception.
Johnny Matrik nacio en Brooklyn, NY, como parte de una larga lina de brillantes lideres religiosos. Nacido con un talento musical lirico, ensenandose a si mismo como tocar el piano a la temprana edad de 10 años. A los 12 años dirigio la banda de su iglesia local. Johnny Matrik siempre ha sabido que disciplina y dedicacion son factores primordiales para alcanzar la excellencia; por lo cual, se enlisto y fue aceptado para la United States Marine Corps. Arriego su vida dos veces, viajando a Iraq para defender a su pais y convertirse en un lider a los ojos de sus companeros marinos. No fue hasta despues de 5 años que Johnny regreso a Miami para dedicar su vida a inspirar a los demas, y plasmar sus experiencias por medio de la musica. Su grandioso talento ayudo a construir las vertebras principales de la aclamada agrupacion Fusik, con el cual realizo giras por el este de los Estados Unidos y grabo el classico del genero break dance "Only a Few are Sick". Fue en el final de su trayectoria con Fusik, cuando conocio a la que ahora es, su musa artisitica en Postive Perception.
Cuando unes la ecuacion intelectual de un compositor exceptional y una apasionada cantante, nace Positive Perception.
Localizados en California, trabajan agresivamente en su album debut. "A Voice in a World of Echoes" el cual saldra a la venta a final de año. Este poderoso duo marcara la historia en la industria de la musica.
